Lighting Specialist (Commercial/Industrial)

EllisCo are looking for a Lighting Specialist who thinks and lives lighting, can create innovative solutions and drive sales. 

A superb opportunity has arisen to represent some of the worlds leading brands in lighting design offered to New Zealand. As a lighting specialist based in Auckland you will grow product sales and contribute to our success by taking ownership
Are you:
- Enthusiastic, motivated and driven to build your sales and lighting industry career
- A self starter who can function in a sole person environment
- A new “Hunter” to join the team
- Able to collaborate, communicate and integrate with the wider EllisCo team, with a view to achieve both company and personal success
- Experienced with technical products, with a proven ability to communicate product specifications, retain product information and incorporate lateral thinking skills
- Able to demonstrate success and experience within a similar solution selling role within the Electrical industry, ideally within Lighting
About you:
Minimum three years industry related experience
Lighting education qualifications preferred, but not essential
Possess good technical knowledge and a willingness to learn about products
Strong communication, negotiation, presentation and relationship building skills
A resourceful and creative mind
Excellent planning/organisational skills, dynamic sales ability with excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine commitment to customer service. Ideally you will have an innovative yet technical sales approach with a competitive nature
Passionate about enhancing spaces and form with light
Service, develop and maintain established and new customers from architectural and engineering practices by providing technical support and lighting solutions to meet project expectations
Report on market activities of Competitors and clients
Transparently share information on current projects with the Team and work together with your colleagues on shared projects
Plan, implement and support company and personal sales-marketing activities eg. Product launches, promotions and advertising
Maximise the use of company CRM to manage and track sales pipeline, marketing activity and generate relevant reports
Continually upskill on product knowledge
Provide weekly reports
